Mazan started a website  called  dyingtodoletterman.com      and support poured in from people around the country that were touched by his story.     And he was finally granted his wish on September 5, 2009 and got to perform on the David Letterman Show, and his lifelong dream, and “dying wish” were attained.   Steve’s performance got good reviews but the external review probably could not match the reviews his soul gave, excited that he had gone after his dream.

                                          WHAT  WE ALL CAN TAKE FROM STEVE MAZAN’S STORY

    Steve’s story has a lot to teach all of us.   We all have dormant dreams inside of us and, while I am so, so, touched by and happy that Mazan got to attain one of his deep, heartfelt drams, I feel that his story can urge us to ask ourselves some deep questions, whether we are terminally ill or not:  

 1) Why should any of us have to wait for an incurable diagnosis to feel a sense of urgency to achieve our dreams? 

2)  Why should any others of us put off our dreams today? 

3) Why waste time in unhappy jobs, relationships, etc.  when our true dreams and heartfelt desires await us?  

  What dreams have you put under your pillow for when you “have time” to get to them?   Do you dream of starting that new business, writing that book, finding true love, running that marathon, etc, but feel that you have plenty of time to get to it? 

  Mazan’s story teaches us that we can’t really control time and we never know what curveballs life will throw our way.  My question for you today is:                             WHY WAIT???   

What dream is laying inside of you that you have not started moving towards???  Are you waiting for an emergency or permission to get started?    

   Steve Mazan’s heart can rest content now that he has acheived a deep desire coming from this space- you and I deserve the same!
